Customer Reviews

The High Sierra Tech Series 59405 bag is brilliant for camping and or even bugging out. The separate compartment for the sleeping bag is just the right size for a small bag. Some customers have complained that this compartment was too small but others are convinced it is all in how you load the backpack, you should load the sleeping bag first before loading other things.

The backpack is adjustable, so no matter your body size the bag will concentrate weight on your hips. A great feature is the adjustable shoulder straps. Even with a heavy load once adjusted the bag to sit correctly it should not feel heavy at all. Many are impressed by the very high build quality, as well as all the straps and zippers. It allow for so many options for hanging, and attaching things that you will not use all of them yet.

“I recently purchased this pack for a canoe trip down the St. Croix River….The size was perfect for all my gear and the enclosed rain cover kept everything dry. I really appreciate that the pack is adjustable for differnet torso lengths, I was able to find the perfect fit with ease.”

“I just received this product, it will be later this year before I will be able to use it. I’ve never owned a backpack like this, most of my outdoor activity has been in areas accessible by vehicle, and day hikes have been the extent of my experience. This product seems to have been a great entry level choice.

Construction seems more than adequate and the organizational features surpass anything in the price range. It was easy to adjust to my size, I’m about 6′ 190 lbs, If you have a waist smaller than 32″, you may want to consider a different model of the same product line, I have most of the slack taken out to fit me, and there is a long tail left to deal with. The waist straps have clips to retain the slack, but they leave something to be desired as far as durability is concerned. I plan on devising my own means or just tucking them in.”
